The Popular Tool For KingDraw Users — Sometimes we need to convert the structure into SMILES, MOL, and other formats, and applied them to different apps. In KingDraw PC, the “Copy As” function is popular for easy format conversion.

Let’s take a look at this little useful function now.

“Copy as” is in the right-click menu. You can select the structure by using the marquee tool and find the “Copy As” option.

You can also find out the “Copy As” in the menu bar. After selecting the structure, click on the [Menu]→[Edit]→[Copy As] to convert into other formats.

In the latest version, the “Copy As” option can help users copy structures into SMILES, MOL v2000, MOL v3000, and ChemDraw.

SMILES (Hotkey: Ctrl +Alt + C)

Select “SMILES” in “Copy As” to convert structures to SMILES format and copy that to your clipboard. Or click the “Paste” (Ctrl + V) option In KingDraw canvas or other software to get the SMILES format.

MOL V2000,MOL V3000

Select “MOL V2000”、“MOL V3000” in “Copy As” to convert structures to MOL format and copy that to your clipboard. Again, click the “Paste” (Ctrl + V) option In KingDraw canvas or other software to get the MOL format.

ChemDraw(Hotkey:Ctrl+Shift+C)

Select “ChemDraw in “Copy As” to convert structures to ChemDraw format and copy that to your clipboard. You can paste it directly into ChemDraw for editing, or you can paste it into other software that supports the ChemDraw format for related applications.
